Professional photography, like any other creative enterprise, includes more than just taking photographs; you must identify clients, coordinate, travel, edit, invoice, chase funds, give galleries, and so on. We assist you with typical monotonous tasks so that you can focus on what is most important to you: your art and photography!

        Requirements to join

        Equipment & Portfolio Requirements

        • To join Kcaptured, you’ll need a professional-grade FULL-FRAME DSLR camera. Recommended models include Canon 5D Mark IV / R6 II, Sony Alpha A7 IV / A7R VI, or Nikon D750/D850.
        • Please avoid using APS-C Sensor Cameras or iPhones.
        • Preferred lenses include:
          • 70-200mm f/2.8
          • 24-70mm f/2.8
          • 35mm f/1.4
        • Depending on your shooting style, a 24mm, 50mm, or 85mm lens may also be suitable.
        • A robust portfolio showcasing outdoor family photography and weddings is essential.

        Technical Skills Requirements

        At Kcaptured, our photographers need to showcase the following expertise:

        • Camera Proficiency: Mastery of technical settings like aperture, ISO, and shutter speed to deliver sharp and clear photos across various portrait subjects and lighting conditions.

        • Natural Light Photography: Ability to capture lifestyle and candid portraits with a relaxed and authentic feel, using only natural light.

        • Composition and Framing: Skill in composing and framing shots to create visually compelling photographs.

        • Efficiency: Capability to produce a diverse range of images within a 30-minute session.

        • Posing Techniques: Expertise in posing clients of all ages and genders, including families, couples, groups, and pets, to ensure flattering and natural-looking portraits.

        Leadership Skills Requirements

        To excel with Kcaptured, you should demonstrate the following leadership qualities:

        • Client Engagement: Your ability to guide clients and make them feel at ease is crucial for delivering an exceptional Kcaptured experience.

        • Interpersonal Skills: Be approachable, patient, and an excellent listener. Provide clear and consistent direction tailored to diverse client personalities and body types.

        • Enjoyment of Interaction: You should take pleasure in working with people and excel at drawing out and capturing their unique personalities.

        • Initiative and Ownership: Show proactive engagement and take full responsibility for ensuring your clients feel well-cared-for throughout their entire session.

        Administrative Requirements

        • Policy Adherence: You must be adept at understanding and following policies and procedures while thriving in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

        • Professionalism: Maintain a high level of professionalism at all times and be consistently reachable and responsive to both staff and client communications.

        • Transportation: You need to have your own transportation to travel to Kcaptured locations.

        FAQ

        If a client wishes to book you again for portrait or event work, we ask that you direct them to book through Kcaptured. We offer up to 75% commission for photographers with repeat clients! However, if the client is interested in types of photography not provided by Kcaptured (such as weddings, product photography, or in-studio newborn photos with props), you are welcome to work directly with them.

        Yes, with some conditions! You can use photos from Kcaptured in your personal portfolio, but if a client has marked their gallery as private, you must obtain written permission before posting those photos on your website. Photos taken with Kcaptured may not be used for other commercial purposes.

        Yes, absolutely. Kcaptured does not have a non-compete clause, so you are free to continue working as a freelancer or with other photography companies.

        Kcaptured primarily focuses on portraiture. Our clients request a variety of sessions including family photos, engagement shoots, influencer content, online-dating profile pictures, actor headshots, and event photography. Please note that we do not currently offer product photography, wedding photography, or sessions requiring props (e.g., styled newborn photography).
